At Exilé we think in durable relationships. After a long process of evaluating products and the farmers behind those products, we’ve chose to enter into long-term relationships with only a handful of people. We believe that the person behind the wine is as important as the quality of the grapes.
Meet Patrick Gillon
Domaine Gillon et Frères
Meet Patrick Gillon, who started in 2000 with his brother the Domain Gillon et Frère. In the meantime he runs the domain with his son Romain. He owns 10ha of vineyards of which some parcels of Champagne. The parcel that are used to make Exilé are between 0,3km & 8,7km from the border. Patrick loves to give degustations and is so obsessed by the quality of of his products that he will always test it himself before pouring your glasses.
Meet Romain Gillon
The next generation
Having started out the business with his late brother in 2000, Patrick is already looking to pass the batton to one of his sons Romain. The family secrets must be guarded by a man with the name Gillon.
Meet Matthieu Dangin
Famille Dangin
Meet Matthieu Dangin, who took over the domain from his father Bruno Dangin. Matthieu is a passionate oenologist and farmer who owns 5ha of vineyards that are all biologic and 20are of Champagne parcel. The parcel that are used to make Exilé is 3,9km from the border. In summer you can camp for free at his farm, as long as you do a small degustation, which is highly recommended. Thanks to Matthieu's expert knowledge of wine making, Exilé has achieved very high levels of quality in their co-created products.
